800 Words (season 1)

A recently widowed father quits his job as a popular columnist for a prominent Sydney newspaper. He uses the Internet to buy a house in a remote town in New Zealand. Now he must move there with his two teenage children, who are terrified of an uncertain future. But his dreams of a new beginning are prevented from going according to plan by the inquisitive locals.
