Aema (season 1)

Aema is a vibrant comedy-drama series set in the booming, male-dominated Korean film industry of the 1980s. The story focuses on acclaimed actress Jeong Hee-ran and ambitious newcomer Shin Ju-ae as they join forces during the production of Madame Aema, the country's first mainstream erotic film. Initially at odds due to clashing personalities and ambitions, Hee-ran and Ju-ae eventually unite to challenge an exploitative system that seeks to take advantage of women.
