American Classic's first season follows Broadway star Richard Bean, a notorious narcissist who suffers a public meltdown and returns to his hometown theater in Millersburg. There he finds the once-prestigious venue turned into a dinner theater by his brother Jon and ex-lover Kristen, now married to Jon and serving as mayor. Richard takes charge to revive it with a production of Our Town, sparking family tensions, buried secrets, and clashes over a casino development threatening the town.
