Ballard (season 1)

Renee is assigned to be the head of the unsolved cases unit, she works at night. It was punishment for revealing the dirty secret of her abusive boss. The unit is poorly funded, the public is skeptical, and people serve there on a volunteer basis. This is despite the fact that it's the busiest unit in Los Angeles in terms of crime. The dedicated Ballard is determined to solve long-forgotten crimes, but when she uncovers a secret and dangerous conspiracy, she enlists the help of seasoned retired detective and fellow officer Harry Bosch to help her deal with the danger to her life and the entire unit, and to raise the profile of the Unsolved Crimes Unit in the eyes of the citizens.
