The medics of a major metropolis lead the ordinary lives of employees - a jog in the morning city, a ride on the city train to the office. But when a train derails, Chicago's medics interrupt their normal activities by rushing to the scene of the disaster. In the ward, they go from a man bleeding to a pregnant woman with a head injury to a little girl with a heart condition.rn
