Étoile (season 1)

The action of the new series revolves around the New York and Paris ballet theaters, which are on the verge of crisis. To overcome difficult times, the schools' management decides on a bold experiment: swap leading dancers. The interim general director of the Paris Opera, Genevieve (Gainsbourg), enters into an alliance with the head of the Metropolitan Opera, Jack (Luke Kirby). Together, they hope to breathe new life into their respective ensembles by bringing together the talents of two continents. Meanwhile, a young French ballerina, Cheyenne (Lou de Laage), involved in the exchange, finds herself in the midst of intrigue and competition. In her quest to prove her worth, she is confronted with the harsh reality of the world of big ballet. She will face trials that will test not only her talent but also her fortitude.
