The second season of NBC's Heroes, subtitled Generations, resumes four months after the first season and introduces new characters, including Maya and Alejandro, twins whose dangerous powers force them on a journey to America seeking help. Existing heroes face new challenges: Peter Petrelli, suffering from amnesia, becomes involved with an Irish gang, while Hiro Nakamura is stranded in 1671 Japan and befriends Kensei, who later appears in the present as Adam Monroe - a powerful immortal with sinister motives.
