Homicide: Life On The Street (season 7)

Set almost entirely in Baltimore and filmed with handheld cameras for an authentic documentary feel, the series presents the lives of inner-city detectives as challenging and often psychologically draining, avoiding the glamour and easy resolutions of typical police procedurals. The ensemble cast includes standout performances by Andre Braugher as Detective Frank Pembleton and Richard Belzer as Detective John Munch, among others.
