Hotel Portofino (season 3)

Bella Ainsworth, daughter of a wealthy English industrialist, moves to the Italian coast with her husband and children and opens a luxury hotel with an English character. The Ainsworths hope that emigration and the new family business will help them improve their finances and heal the wounds left by the First World War. The 1926 town of Portofino does look like a rare safe haven in a troubled Europe. But among the visitors to their new resort for English nobility there are many particularly demanding and capricious persons. In addition, there are a growing number of Mussolini supporters among the local politicians, and they are not at all happy about outsiders either. Bella struggles to keep the family business afloat and take care of their adult children: son Lucian, who was wounded in the war, and daughter Alice, who was left a widow by the First World War. At the same time, Bella's husband Cecil, in his own way, seeks a solution to their financial problems, looking for a rich bride for the young hustler Lucian.rn
