Moving On (season 1)

Moving On is a British anthology drama series created and executive produced by Jimmy McGovern, built around self contained contemporary stories about people at a turning point in their lives. The first season, which debuted in 2009, consists of five standalone episodes, each focusing on a different character or family forced to make a difficult choice or face the consequences of past decisions.Every episode presents ordinary people in modern Britain dealing with emotional upheaval such as grief, betrayal, moral compromise or the need to let go and start again. Instead of long running plots, each story resolves within its own hour, using intimate, realistic drama to explore how a single moment of crisis can push someone to change course and move on from what is holding them back.
