Patience (season 2)

Season 2 follows Patience Evans as she continues to work in the criminal records department of the City of York Police, where her sharp eye for detail and unconventional thinking make her an essential part of the investigative team. Her ability to notice patterns others miss helps to crack a series of complex new cases, including a mystery tied to York Minster, a murder connected to the train museum and a trail involving stage magic that culminates in a tense pursuit through a hall of mirrors. At the same time, Patience must adapt to a new boss, Detective Frankie Monroe, whose very different management style leads to misunderstandings and conflict before they slowly learn how to trust each other. Her growing romance with Elliot develops as they start dating, but emotional hurdles and social difficulties test her boundaries and force her to reassess what intimacy and independence mean in her life. Over the course of the season she also uncovers a surprising new personal connection that shakes her understanding of her own past and pushes her to confront long-buried questions about identity and belonging.
