Sixteen-year-old Sofia Rivera is forced to constantly move because of her parents' jobs and live in the most remote places. Sofia longs for stability in her life and finally wants to build lasting friendships and connections. This wish seems to come true when the family moves to the small mountain village of Rio Vivo. But when Sofia discovers a supernatural power associated with water, her dreams dissolve into thin air. At the same time, the controversial and mysterious Phoenix siblings arrive in the village and attract the attention of all the residents, including Sofia. Sofia quickly develops a deep bond with Gael, the middle brother, whom Sofia feels attracted to. Her family is against this relationship because they do not trust Gael and his siblings. As Sofia deepens her relationship with Gael, she begins to decipher all the mysterious and supernatural events and in the process learns more about herself. Her discoveries eventually cause Sofia to question her previous understanding of the world.rn
