The Stolen Girl (season 1)

Based on Alex Dahl's bestselling novel Playdate, the series explores the harrowing journey of Elisa Blix (played by Denise Gough), a mother whose life is shattered when her nine-year-old daughter Lucia goes missing after a sleepover with her new best friend Josie. The show also stars Holliday Grainger, Ambika Mod, and Jim Sturgess. The story begins with a seemingly innocent decision: Elisa allows Lucia to stay overnight at Josie's house after being reassured by Josie's mother Rebecca and their impressive home. However, when Elisa arrives to pick up her daughter the next day, she discovers the house is an empty holiday rental, and both Rebecca and Josie have vanished. Lucia has been abducted, sparking an urgent manhunt across Europe.
