The detective series is based on the popular series of novels by Kent County resident Julie Wassmer. The story follows the generous owner of a local restaurant, Pearl Nolan, who creates a local detective agency after undergoing police training in an earlier career. She soon becomes embroiled in her first case when she discovers the body of a close friend, Vinnie.
