The project is an adaptation of the popular Edo Van Belkom series. The plot involves the story of two teenagers whose daily lives are forever changed after a huge forest fire occurs in California. This element causes the awakening of a terrible creature, a mystical creature that has been lurking in these backwoods areas for centuries. Everett and Blake become among the first to encounter the uninvited guest. It leaves wounds on the teens.
