Blue Skies (season 1)

Season one of Blue Skies follows former military police officer Jodi Larsen as she returns to her hometown and begins a new life as a criminal investigator in Crystal Ridge National Park. Surrounded by rugged wilderness and constant risk, she is driven by a strong sense of justice and a deep love of the outdoors as she works to protect the park, its visitors and the nearby community from both natural dangers and human threats. Jodi struggles to fit into a new team and to prove herself to a strict superintendent while also trying to repair a strained relationship with her father after the death of her mother during Jodi's deployment. Her unexpected partner becomes a clever stray Labrador named Blue whose sharp instincts and loyal nature turn him into an invaluable ally in the field. Across eight episodes the season blends tense investigations with emotional and hopeful moments as Jodi, Blue and their colleagues confront missing persons cases, environmental crimes and long buried secrets hidden in thousands of square miles of remote parkland.
