Bruce Geller created and produced the American television series Mission: Impossible. The series follows the missions of a team of secret government agents known as the Impossible Missions Force. Dan Briggs, played by Steven Hill, leads the team in the first season; Jim Phelps, played by Peter Graves, takes over in the following seasons. Briggs or Phelps receives instructions on a self-destructing recording, followed by the theme music composed by Lalo Schifrin. After airing on CBS from September 1966 to March 1973, the series returned to television for two seasons on ABC, from 1988 to 1990, with only Graves remaining.rn
