The plot of the show is based on the work A Song of Ice and Fire by George Martin. Ned Stark gets an offer to become a senior adviser to the king Robert Baratheon, to get the position of the hand. Ned and his wife learn that the competitors, house of Lannister that is related to the Kings spouse, are responsible for the death of the former Senior Adviser. Ned is determined to find out who is responsible for that. But the more he discovers the more he understands Lannisters have a lot of secrets that they carefully mask and do not want to be exposed.
