The Narrow Road to the Deep North (season 1)

Set against the backdrop of the shadows of World War II, the series tells the epic story of Lt. Dorrigo Evans and how his all too brief love affair with Amy Mulvaney affected his life. The story is told over several time periods as we travel from Evans' childhood to his experiences as a prisoner of war on the Thai-Burma Railway as a young man, and later in life as a respected surgeon and war hero in Australia.
