The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim (season 1)

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is an anime fantasy film set 183 years before the events of the original trilogy. The story revolves around King Helm Hammerhand, the legendary ruler of Rohan, and his daughter Héra. The narrative begins when Helm accidentally kills Freca, a Dunlending lord, in a duel, sparking a blood feud with Freca's son, Wulf. Wulf seeks vengeance and becomes the leader of the Dunlendings, a group of hill-tribe rebels. As Wulf launches a devastating attack on Rohan, Helm and his people are forced to make a last stand at the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg, which will later become known as Helm's Deep. Héra, a would-be shieldmaiden, must lead the resistance against Wulf's forces. She discovers that one of her father's allies, Lord Thorne, is a traitor and manages to eliminate him.
