Patrolman Chris wants to be helpful, but can't help himself. Martin Freeman as a cop on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Liverpool policeman Chris Carson is going through a prolonged personal crisis and is seeing a therapist. Chris works night shifts, and his task - the first to be on the scene to assess the situation and make a further plan of action. But the night patrolman himself has not believed for a long time that he can make the best decision. Doubts, stress, constant moral contradictions and anxieties have made him vulnerable. And therefore Chris dreams more than ever to be a good cop and at least something in his life to do right. During this period, he is assigned to partner with newcomer Rachel, with a moral compass unbroken by years of service and a strong prejudice against Carson, who is rumored to be involved with drug dealers and other dubious personalities.rn
