Kitty considered herself an expert in love. Her self-confidence, bolstered by many quick but shallow romantic liaisons, seemed unshakable. She was convinced she knew all the nuances of affairs of the heart, that love was an easy game that she always won. However, traveling halfway around the world to her new boyfriend in South Korea becomes an abrupt awakening for Kitty. The idyll she had painted for herself in her dreams quickly crumbles like a house of cards, giving way to the complexities and surprises of real life. In a foreign culture, among strangers and surrounded by very different values, Kitty suddenly realizes that her ideas about love were naive and shallow.rn
