Spencer is the star of a high school soccer team from South Central, a Los Angeles neighborhood notorious for its crime rate and frequent racially motivated conflicts. The boy had no intention of leaving his hometown until the coach of a Beverly Hills high school invited him to join his team. Accepting the offer, Spencer discovers a modern school in a rich, prestigious and safe neighborhood, a lot of privileges and a great sports future. However, among the rich schoolchildren, he feels superfluous. And his new teammates look down on an alien the coach has high hopes for.rn
