Spencer is the star of a high school soccer team from South Central, a Los Angeles neighborhood notorious for its crime rate and frequent racially motivated conflicts. The boy was not going to leave his hometown, until the coach of one of the schools of Beverly Hills invited him to his team. Accepting the offer, Spencer discovers studying in a modern school in a rich, prestigious and safe neighborhood, a lot of privileges and a great athletic future. However, among the rich high schoolers, he feels superfluous. And his new teammates look down on the alien, on whom the coach has high hopes.rn
