Blue Heelers (season 4)

Blue Heelers season 4 is the fourth season of the Australian police drama series that aired in 1997 on the Seven Network. The season contains 42 episodes and was the highest rating season for the show becoming the number one program on Australian television that year with an average of 2441000 viewers in the five cities. The season continued to follow police officers at Mount Thomas police station with Senior Sergeant Tom Croydon still in charge. Constable Maggie Doyle continued her development as a central character while Constable PJ Hasham remained a key member of the team. The season introduced new storylines and characters while developing existing relationships between the officers. Two of the most popular episodes were the two parter Gold and Fool's Gold in which PJ and Maggie are trapped down a mine shaft and release their sexual tension. The season dealt with crimes and social issues affecting the rural Mount Thomas community including smuggling and personal conflicts. Storylines explored the personal lives of the officers showing their relationships and the challenges of police work in a small town where everyone knows everyone.
