Doc Martin (season 1)

Determined to make a radical change in his life, the famous Dr. Martin moves from London to a sleepy Cornish village and becomes a country doctor. But in spite of his glittering experience, he is no good with people, and his lack of therapeutic tact begins to irritate his new patients. Plus, he gets the world's most inexperienced receptionist. Very quickly Dr. Martin realizes that he cannot do without allies, whatever they may be, to reconcile with rural life--and this has the most ridiculous consequences...rn
