Payback (season 1)

Lexi finds herself in a difficult position after the mysterious death of her husband. Her husband was killed in an attack on the street that initially appears to be random but soon turns out to be a planned act of violence. As Lexi investigates, she discovers that her husband was involved in dangerous and illegal affairs, including a business relationship with Cal Morris, a mob boss and powerful criminal. Now Lexie is faced with a dilemma: on the one hand, Cal Morris promises her answers about her husband's death and possibly support in finding the truth; on the other hand, the police are eager to bring Morris to trial and put him out of the game for good. Lexie finds herself in a situation where she must decide which side she will feel safer on, while at the same time seeking answers to the complex questions surrounding her husband's death and his dark past.rn
