Stargate SG-1 (season 9)

This is 1928. During the archeological excavation a strange artifact was is found. This is a ring of stone that covered with some symbols similar to hieroglyphs. The military involve to the exploring an egyptologist name Jackson. The scientist has no doubt the great pyramids were made with help of the forces from another dimension. It turns out that Jackson is right. The decoding of the symbols opens the mystery of the ring that turns out to be a gate to another world. Jackson and colonel ONeil go through the gate and end up in a strange place. The portal moved travelers for thousands or even millions years in the past.
