Stargate SG-1 (season 2)

In the far 1920, in Egypt, during the dig, archaeologists managed to find a huge ring of stone that was covered with hieroglyphs which no one knew. To decipher the mystery Jackson comes for help to archaeologists. He is a well-known egyptologist thinking the all pyramids are made by extraterrestrial civilizations. In the course of the work they learned the ring is the gate to another world. Colonel ONeil starts exploring the ring. In this way they get to the planet resembling Ancient Egypt where ancient beast are ruling the world. There is slavery too. To come back to Earth they are to fight the god of sun Ra himself who now knows the door to the Earth is open.
